(ThePanamaDigest) The Panama Canal Authority says that the Miraflores water treatment plant is back online after turbidity-producing rains caused it to temporarily suspend operations.
Service will gradually be restored in the affected areas, including the communities of Gamboa, Balboa, Paraiso, Los Rios, Cardenas, Albrook, Clayton, San Felipe, Santa Ana, Calidonia, El Chorrillo, San Miguel, Curundu, Perejil and Veracruz.
Water was cut Monday night, and it will take sediment levels several days to settle indicating that it is perhaps best to not yet drink water from the tap.
