Two earthquakes recorded yesterday in Panama

(prensa.com) Two new earthquakes were recorded yesterday, Feb. 14, in the Republic of Panama, according to the website of the Institute of Geosciences of the University of Panama.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., El Porvenir, in the Kuna Yala province, was the epicenter of an earthquake registering 4.3 on the Richter scale and 24 kilometers deep.  The quake was felt in Chepo and surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, the second earthquake hit at the Panama-Costa Rica border at 10:11 a.m., and was felt in Changuinola.  It had a magnitude equal to the first, but with a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the records of the Institute of Geosciences, who confirmed that no damages were reported.
