(prensa.com) The entire Trump family will visit Panama in June to open the first hotel of their chain in Latin America – an investment of over $220 million, reported Ivanka, daughter of tycoon Donald Trump.
Ivanka acknowledged at a news conference that “we still need to sell a lot of real estate” (the hotel was financed by a bond issued in the amount of $220 million in the Panamanian market), but asserted that, so far, they have secured a 95 percent occupation demand for the first year of operations.
The 72-story high building, located in the exclusive skyscraper area of Punta Pacifica and overlooking the Pacific Ocean, is currently in the final stages of development.
The building, designed by Colombian architectural firm Arias, Serna y Saravia, is being constructed by developer Newland International Properties Corp., and resembles a fully-extended sail of a boat.
Eric Trump, Ivanka’s brother, highlighted the developer – headed by Roger Khafif and listed on the Stock Exchange of Panama, as an “excellent” partner, and thanked Panamanian authorities for the support received.
