(Thepanamadigest) In a country where directions are largely given in relation to landmarks and street names have little meaning, Panama’s Tourism Authority is thinking about ways to help tourists get around the country a little more easily.
In two years time, the idea is to provide visitors with interactive maps and a global positioning system with the addresses of hotels, restaurants and tourist sites, La Prensa reports.
The first of two phases would create interactive maps on the web, followed by the implementation of a second phase updated GPS system for Tocumen International Airport rental cars.
