06/16/2011 By Panama Eric

(Newsroom Panama) Panama’s economy will have  one of the world’s biggest growth rates in 2011, according to projections by the  Minister  of Economy and Finance.

According to Vallarino, the growth is fired by the Panama Canal expansion, construction of the first Metro line, and the project to clean up the Bay of Panama and the development  of road infrastructures, including the  controversial extension of the Cinta Costera..
