(prensa.com) In the quaint community of Churuquita Grande, in the village of Pajo, held every year the National Orange Show, an event in which producers production of oranges and other citrus fruits come together to make known what best of their crops.
In 2011 we celebrate the thirtieth version of this fair, held annually since 1981 – during the dry season.
This year the event takes place from Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 January and is expected visitor numbers reach 40 thousand.
At the fair, the main event of the year in the area, producers from 45 communities not only make available the variety of fruits but also sell agricultural products and handicrafts.
Onofre Nunez, president of the board of the fair, said this year the event has several attractions. Among them mentioned the typical ranch stalks and wood, to participate in the contest for making huts.
“The huts are not empty, because within them there are a variety of agricultural production owned by small farmers who use the event to market their crops, Nunez recalled.
Additionally, during the weekend will feature presentations folk with delegations from across the country.
Visitors can enjoy the dances and folk dances of the joint, where children are the main actors, and Salome and the cries of local artists.
In the place can not miss the mills interioranos whereby extracted cane juice is then sold to accompany the typical food put up for sale.

Getting There:
• The Grande Churuquita community is located about 20 minutes from the city of Penonomé asphalt road.
• To reach the city must leave Penonomé, taking the path that is at the entrance of dreamers. Do not deviate from the road to the village. A sign will tell you who came to the fairgrounds.
