(Midiario.com) The whole world can now see virtually the Coiba National Park.
The website www.coiba.org.pa , has been created by the National Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation (SENACYT) as a source of access not only to the results of publicly funded research in the park, but also the entire detailed information about the history and biodiversity that contains this valuable protected area.
The website has several sections, which take the user on a tour of about Coiba, three management bodies (Board of Directors, Scientific Committee and Committee of the Special Zone of Marine Protection), Research and Development in Coiba, news, videos, articles and links to each of the institutions and organizations involved in this National Park.
Coiba National Park has 270.125 hectares and is one of the parks most protected marine area in the world.
It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1980 due to the unique features it has as a result of many years of isolation and its biological significance.
