(prensa.com) The under-17 soccer delegation representing Panama came out on top yesterday, Tuesday, after defeating their Costa Rican counterparts in the Pre-World Championships in Jamaica.
The final score was 1-0 in favor of the Panamanian team, with the only goal being scored by Alfredo Stephens, 76 minutes into the game.
With this result, Panama made history by qualifying – for the first time – at a world tournament at that level. The World’s will be held in Mexico from June 18 to July 10, 2011.
