Panama’s national and municipal public offices will be closed from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Eve.
The only offices exempt from these vacations – decreed by Executive Order No. 964 published Monday – are the Institute of Aqueducts and Sewage Systems, the Ministry of Health and health institutions, the postal service, the fire department, the immigration service, the security forces and the Canal.
Bank vacation days will be determined by the Superintendency of Banks which oversees the soundness of Panama’s banking center.
