A spokesman for the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism said that the meeting will be held in Santiago, Chile on the first Thursday in January and will include the ministers of Panama and Mexico.
Alan García announced last October, during the signing of an agreement with Panama on agriculture, that he had already approached this country as well as to Colombia, Ecuador, and Chile, regarding the possible creation of a new system of “deep” integration, which would include the free entry of goods, services, capital, and people.
