Panama AAUD will collect empty plastic bottles

(PanamaAmerica) Since last Tuesday, 11 January to date more than 2.4 million  bottles of water have distributed .To minimize the amount of plastic bottles in the streets of the operational product distribution of bottled water, the Authority urban and household (AAUD), will open today Friday 21 and Saturday January 22 collection centers in 11 districts of capital city. The centers will be open at a time of 8:00 am to 12:00 noon and to collect the large amount of plastic bottles that have been generated product of the operational distribution of bottled water.

Plastic containers will be collected at Ancon (Supermercado El Rey-Albrook), Bethania (Gym Yuyin Luzcando), Juan Diaz (Central Park), Pedregal (IglesiaSan John Bosco), San Francisco (Parque Omar), Rio Abajo (Feria Libre Calle 13 ) Tocumen (Centro Comercial La Dona); Mañanita (Centro Comercial La Pagoda), Mayor Diaz (Across from the Health Center); Chilibre (Plaza Buenos Aires) and Pacora.

Reporting on how much the levels of turbidity in treated water at the Water Treatment plants Chilibre, the Interinstitutional Commission reported that it remained below 5 nephelometric units, which translates into something positive.

Thursday turbidity levels stood at 49.9 nephelometric units., Decreased 5.9 units compared to Wednesday reached 54 nephelometric units.
