(Hospitality.net) Wyndham Hotel Group, the world’s largest hotel company with approximately 7,410 hotels and part of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation announced the opening of the 331-room TRYP by Wyndham Panama Albrook Mall, marking the select-service hotel brand’s largest hotel in Central America and second property in Panama City, Panama. Its addition further supports the company’s steady expansion in the Latin America region.
Owned by Corporacion Hotelera de Panama, S.A., and managed by Bristol Hospitality Group, the newly constructed hotel puts guests in the heart of Panama City, close to major businesses and attractions and adjacent to Albrook Mall, Central America’s largest shopping center.
The addition of TRYP by Wyndham Panama Albrook Mall is another important step in Wyndham Hotel Group’s continued commitment to provide travelers with diverse lodging options in major markets throughout Latin America. It joins sister property TRYP by Wyndham Panama Centro in Panama City, which opened in July 2012, and adds to Wyndham Hotel Group’s four hotels currently open in Panama under the TRYP by Wyndham® and upscale Wyndham Hotels and Resorts® brands.
“We couldn’t be more pleased to work with esteemed partners like Corpracion Hotelera de Panama and Bristol Hospitality Group to bring another high-caliber property to this cosmopolitan city,” said Daniel del Olmo, senior vice president and managing director of Latin America for Wyndham Hotel Group. “We look forward to this hotel bringing to life the brand’s customer-focused ‘Own the City’ service culture, where our ambassadors’ passions for the city and travel experiences are evident through everyday interactions with guests.”
