New casino license approved in Colon

(prensa.com) The Cabinet Council has approved the signing of a contract between the Ministry of Economy and the company Millennium Plaza to operate a casino at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel located in Colón.Plaza Millennium made an investment of $30 million in the hotel and $3.8 million in the casino. The facility will be the 16th full casino, namely one able to offer table games, in the country. There are also 25 casinos that are only allowed to offer slot machines.
The company paid a license fee of $1 million, and will have to pay the state a percentage of its earnings.
The agreement was recently published int he Government Gazette, which makes it official.
