(Cards Chat) The Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) is extremely popular with players that like to follow various poker tours; after all, the locales offer not just the chance to win some poker, but also the opportunity to visit some beautiful countries.
On July 23, the region will once again see the LAPT visit, with the fourth stop of Season 7 in Panama. This country has quickly become one of the favorites among those that play in LAPT events, thanks to the welcoming accommodations and the surroundings that cater to tourists. Held at the Veneto Hotel and Casino in Panama City, this stop on the LAPT tour will feature 8 events culminating with the $1,550+$150 Main Event and the $4,700+$300 8-handed High Roller tournaments.
LAPT Panama City Schedule
The event kicks off on July 23 at noon local time with Day 1A of the No-Limit Hold’em Main Event, which will cost players $1,550+$150 to enter. This tournament will offer unlimited re-entries as well. Players that want to satellite in will be welcome to try starting at 6pm the same day in the $175+$25 Main Event Super Satellite event.
The next day, Day 1B of the Main Event, will start at noon. Once again, the 6pm time slot will see another event start, this time in the form of a $270+$30 No Limit Hold’em Turbo Freeze-Out tournament. The next day, Day 2 of the Main Event will be played, with those that survived the previous Day 1 fields. At noon, Event #4 will also start with a $1,000+$100 No Limit Hold’em Unlimited Re-Entry tournament that will conclude the next day.
On Saturday, July 26, the Main Event will be in its third day, but at noon Event #5 will start, which will be a $450+$50 No Limit Hold’em Freeze-Out tournament. Later that night the stakes get high as the $4,700+$300 No Limit Hold’em High Roller 8-Handed event kicks off.
Then on the final day of the tournament, Sunday July 27, four different tournaments will conclude. The Main Event will resume at noon and play to its conclusion, as will Event #6, the $450+$50 NLHE Freeze-Out, and Event #7, the High Roller event. For those looking to enter one last tournament, at 1pm Event #8 will start and be played as a No Limit Hold’em Deep Stack Turbo event, allowing a single re-entry and a $450+$50 buy-in.

On the official LAPT Panama page, it’s stated that management does reserve the right to change or amend the schedule, so attendees should check in with poker room staff to get the latest information possible. Players in Panama just have to be 18 years of age, meaning those 18-20 in age that normally cannot play in Las Vegas, are welcome in Latin America. All tournaments, on top of the entrance fee, also have 3percent of the prize pool reserved to cover the costs of the tournament staff. All tournament transactions will be processed in US currency.
