(Prensa.com) Beginning next Saturday, April 16, until Friday, April 22, authorities have informed that high tides will be recorded in the Panamanian Pacific.
According to the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc), tides along this coast are expected to reach up to 17.8 feet high.
As such, “a prevention notice has been issued for people to take the necessary precautions, as rains coinciding with high tides could hit records in areas vulnerable to flooding,” said Sinaproc in a statement.
The entity called on the public to use caution when using the beaches and rivers. It also asked fishermen to take precautions against the likelihood of high waves.
The prevention notice begins from 2:12 p.m. this Saturday, April 16, and will run until Friday, April 22 at 7:09 p.m.
