(Hotelchatter.com) The Hard Rock Hotel Panama Megapolis is expected to open in December 2011 in Panama City.
The 66-story hotel will have 1,449 rooms, including a whopping 796 suites, some of which will be the brand’s signature Rock Star Suites. The detes on the room designs and amenities are scant but guests will be able to create a music playlist all their own through the hotel’s “Sound of Your Stay” music collection.
Throughout the property will be eight restaurants and bars, a club on the 62nd floor, a 7,800-sq.ft. Rock Spa and a Rock Shop where you can buy Hard Rock-branded gear. But sadly, no casino which means it will be more like the Hard Rock San Diego. Still a fun spot but we miss the slots.
The hotel will be the brand’s first hotel in Latin America, although there is already a Hard Rock Cafe in Panama, actually right next door in the Multicentro Mall. How they plan on splitting up the rock memorabilia should be interesting but surely there are enough David Lee Roth pants to go around?
Hard Rock Hotel execs including Michael Shindler, Executive VP (third from left), rock out with their guitars out at the Hard Rock Hotel Panama press conference.
