Cuba-Panama Inter-Parliamentary Meeting Scheduled for November in Havana

(CubaNews)ParliamenDelegations from the Cuban and Panamanian National Assemblies will meet in Havana on November 15-16 as part of a bilateral agenda of periodic contacts between the two legislative bodies.tarian Tubal Paez, head of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Cuban National Assembly said the participation in the meeting of the president of the Panamanian parliament, Jose Muñoz, is expected, as well as that of the Cuba-Panama Friendship Group headed by Hugo Moreno.

Paez added that this is the right moment for this contact, which gives continuity to a decade-long program of meetings.

“That’s why we can say this process has stood the test of time,” he noted.

The Panamanian legislative delegation will be accompanied by a group of businesspeople that will explore business opportunities in the island.

Paez said the topics to be included in the agenda are not defined yet although there is interest in knowing more about the Cuban scientific research center
