Bolivia will play Panama in friendly match

02/19/2011 By Panama Eric

(prensa.com) The Bolivian national soccer team will face Panama on March 25 to continue their preparation for the Copa America (American Cup), announced the Bolivian coach Gustavo Quinteros yesterday.

Quinteros said the game will be played in Panama and replace one of the two sparring matches originally planned with the Turkish league, against Finland and Bulgaria; matches that were suspended because FIFA is currently investigating an alleged rigging of results in that tournament.

“We had everything ready and organized for Turkey, and now we have to plan again and change everything regarding where they will play,” said the coach, in charge of the delegation since last November.

The selections from Bolivia and Argentina will open the American Cup next July 1 in city of La Plata.  The sparring match with Panama is aimed at getting the Bolivian team warmed up for the major tournament.
