The system is along the same coastal area it was during the heavy December 8 flooding which closed down the Panama Canal and caused serious flood damage to many parts of the country, reports Arturo Alvaro, the agency’s director.
“The situation is under control because people are still in shelters and not in areas that were flooded a few weeks ago, which is reassuring because this system will create instability throughout the country,” he said.
More rain is expected for tomorrow with temperatures ranging from 71 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the ETASA electric company forecast.
